Just around the corner from Darling Harbour, Jones Bay Wharf is found on the foreshore of Sydney harbour in Pyrmont. The heritage wharf has industrial origins and this makes the interior and exterior of the waterfront venue a favourite of ours.

Previously known as Jones Bay Finger Wharf, it was completed in 1919. Many wedding portraits of the newlyweds and bridal party have been taken here with the double row of two storey-ed steel and timber sheds with central roadways and rail tracks serving as a backdrop.

On the full length outdoor decking area, you and your guests can easily see the Sydney Harbour Bridge and Darling Harbour. For smaller weddings of less than 80 guests, you can fit an entire wedding ceremony on the upper deck of Jones Bay Wharf.

Specific to wedding receptions, Doltone House has two distinct event spaces for consideration: (i) Heritage Wharf, and (ii) The Loft.

The Heritage Wharf can be partitioned into smaller individual spaces but in its entirety, it is a versatile space that can cater for up to 1,000 guests. Even when partitioned into South Pier and North Pier sections, you can still enjoy the grandeur of 5m high ceilings and the freedom and openness that a pillar-less function space offers.

The slightly bigger of the two partitioned spaces, the South Pier measures 30m x 14m and can seat 340 guests while the North Pier (20m x 14m) caters for 250 seated guests in a banquet configuration.

The Loft is a multi-level space ideal for smaller wedding receptions. It can seat up to 160 pax and the accompanying private outdoor deck has the best view of the harbour bridge.

Jones Bay Wharf is accessible by boat, water taxi, light rail (alight at The Star), ferry or private transport.

Directly opposite to the building on Pirrama Road is a Wilson Parking complex. Wedding guests may have their parking ticket validated for a special rate. Alternatively, the taxi rank at The Star is a short 5-minute walk away.
